Mobile, real-time package tracking and digital driver communications:
We led a project to design, develop, and implement a wireless automated dispatch and digital communication system using hand-held scanners and in-station servers for 18,000 drivers/500 stations ($50 Million Budget and 7 employees/contractors). Project involved integration of 3rd party developed dispatching system with client’s internally developed order-entry system. Also, the team integrated the scanner developed by Motorolla in Israel with two different cell network providers and in-house developed data capture software on servers at driver stations.
Led a global telepresence vendor selection (RFP) project to provide telepresence for offices in Europe and Asia to reduce travel costs for client’s executives
Managed multiple RFID research and development pilots with IBM and Intel. R&D projects were in U.S. and Central America locations
Led a project to replace and implement Global Webcast communications throughout Client’s infrastructure. Global sites included Europe and Asia. End-points were located globally at all Client’s stations and offices
